Match Rank List in Cerebellum

Following Match Day, review matched applicants and their program rank order in Cerebellum.

1. What is the Match Rank List?

The Match Rank List in Cerebellum allows program users to review applicants who matched to their program and see how those applicants ranked on the program's default rank list in Thalamus Core.

This feature helps your program:

  • Confirm which applicants matched to your program

  • Review each matched applicant's original rank position

  • View key applicant demographic and school information in one place

  • Sort and organize matched applicants using available data fields

Note: Cerebellum data automatically refreshes every 24 hours. Changes made in Thalamus Core or Cortex will be reflected in Cerebellum after the next scheduled refresh.

2. Before starting

Before using the Match Rank List, make sure the following conditions are met for each applicant you expect to see:

  • The applicant has been added to your program's default Applicant Rank List in Thalamus Core. This requires that at least one overall score has been entered for the applicant. See Viewing and Ordering the Default Applicant Rank List for details

  • The applicant has been marked as Matched in your Program Applicant Dashboard in Thalamus Core. See Mark Applicants as Matched for instructions

  • Cerebellum has completed its daily data refresh since those changes were made. Updates occur automatically every 24 hours

Note: If an applicant meets all three conditions but is not yet visible, wait for the next 24-hour refresh cycle and check again.

3. Accessing the Match Rank List

The Match Rank List is located at the bottom of your Cerebellum Program page.

To access it:

  1. Log in to Cerebellum

  2. Navigate to your Program page

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page

  4. Locate the Match Rank List section

Matched applicants who meet the conditions in Section 2 will populate here automatically.

5. Frequently asked questions

Question

Answer

Why isn't an applicant showing on my Match Rank List?

The applicant must meet all three conditions: (1) added to your default rank list in Thalamus Core, (2) marked as Matched in your Program Applicant Dashboard, and (3) Cerebellum must have refreshed since those changes were made.

How often does Cerebellum update?

Cerebellum data refreshes automatically every 24 hours.

Can I sort the Match Rank List?

Yes. Select the arrow icon (↑↓) next to any column header to sort in ascending or descending order.

Why are the Medical School and Self Identity fields blank for some applicants?

These fields only populate if the information has been uploaded to Thalamus Core and/or Cortex. If the data was not entered, the fields will remain empty.

What does the Rank column reflect?

The Rank column shows the position assigned to the applicant on your program's default Applicant Rank List in Thalamus Core at the time of the data refresh.

Can I export the Match Rank List?

Export functionality is not currently available for the Match Rank List. For questions about reporting, contact Thalamus Product Support.
