This user guide will cover how to manage applicant documents in Thalamus for both ERAS and non-ERAS programs.
Please Note:
- Program Director, Program Administrator, Program Coordinator, Program Interviewer can see all documents in the Application Document Section
- Program Director, Program Administrator, Program Coordinator, can see all documents in the Other Document Section
- Program Resident and Program Fellow cannot see Application Documents or Other Documents
Application Documents
The Application Document Section will contain the applicants, application documents.
How to Upload Application Documents - ERAS
Any document uploaded by the applicant in ERAS will automatically appear in the Application Documents section. You may view the application document by clicking on the Document with an "A" within your Applicant Dashboard.
How to Upload Application Documents - Non-ERAS
Non ERAS programs can upload one Application Document per applicant. This document can be either the complete application or specific parts/pages that you choose to include.

- Locate the documents column in your applicants data grid (you may have to scroll right to locate the column based on other columns you have enabled).
- Click the teal "+" button to add a document.
- Click the teal "Upload" button.
- Choose the document from your computer that you want to upload. Note: you can only select one document at a time.
- When you upload a document, a popup message will appear asking you to confirm if the document should be marked as the "Application Document." Make sure to choose the appropriate option to ensure your document is filed correctly.

If you want to designate the document as the Application Document:
Select "Yes." The document will then be categorized under your Application section.

How to Upload Other Documents - ERAS
The Other Documents section will include all other documents outside of the applicants application.

You can upload multiple documents at once to supplement the application documents. Note: Application Document will be greyed out since the application documents will be automatically imported from ERAS PDWS.
- Click the teal "Add Documents" button.
- Choose the document(s) from your computer that you want to upload.
- Click the teal "Choose file" button to select one or multiple documents.
- From the dropdown menu, select "Other Document."
- Click "Add Documents" to complete the upload.
- To delete any Other Documents you've added, simply click the red "X" to the right of the document you wish to remove.
How to Upload Other Documents - Non-ERAS

You can upload one document at a time. After you upload an Application Document, any additional documents will be displayed in this section.
- Click the teal "Upload" button.
- Choose the document from your computer that you want to upload. Note: you can only select one document at a time.
- When you upload a document, a popup message will appear asking you to confirm if the document should be marked as the "Application Document." Make sure to choose the appropriate option to ensure your document is filed correctly.

If you do not want to mark it as the Application Document:
Select "No." The document will be classified as an Other Document and will appear in that section. - To delete any Other Documents you've added, simply click the red "X" to the right of the document you wish to remove.
