Complete Program Acknowledgements sent by programs in Thalamus Core.
1. What is a Program Acknowledgement?
Programs may send applicants documents or links that require confirmation of receipt and review. The Program Acknowledgement feature allows applicants to complete this confirmation directly within Thalamus.
2. View and submit assigned Program Acknowledgements
When a program sends an applicant a Program Acknowledgement Package, the applicant will receive an email notification. The package can then be accessed from the Dashboard upon logging into Thalamus Core, in the Program Acknowledgement section.
| Note: Programs can send new or updated versions of a package at any time. If a package is updated after the applicant has already submitted an acknowledgement, the applicant will be required to review and submit a new acknowledgement. |
From the Program Acknowledgement section, applicants can:
- View all acknowledgements assigned to them.
- See which acknowledgements are pending.
- Open program-provided materials.
- Complete new acknowledgements.
- Review previously signed acknowledgements.
3. Submit a Program Acknowledgement
To complete a new acknowledgement:
- Log in to Thalamus Core.
- Navigate to the Program Acknowledgement section.
- Select the acknowledgement that needs to be completed.
- Review all documents, links, and instructions provided by the program.
- Check the Acknowledgement checkbox (required).
- Add an electronic signature using the legal name (required). See the FAQ below for signature instructions.
- Select Submit.
| Important: Once an acknowledgement has been submitted, it cannot be undone or edited. |

| What do the acknowledgement statuses mean? | Not Signed — an acknowledgement package has been sent by the program but has not yet been submitted by the applicant. Signed — the applicant has reviewed and submitted their acknowledgement and signature. |
| How does the applicant add a signature? | Two signature options are available. The applicant must use their legal name in either case. Draw — sign using a mouse or trackpad: 1. Click inside the signature box. 2. Hold down the mouse button or trackpad. 3. Draw the signature. 4. Release when finished. 5. Select Clear to redraw if needed. Type — type the legal name directly into the signature field. |
| Can a submitted acknowledgement be edited or undone? | No. Once an acknowledgement has been submitted, it cannot be edited or reversed. |
