Scheduling for Follow Up Interviews

This guide will show how you are able to schedule and cancel for multiple follow up interviews you have been invited to during the recruitment season. Thalamus allows programs to invite applicant to multiple round of interviews. Please note that not all programs will conduct multiple interviews, and the number of follow up interviews you will be invited to will be program dependent.

Scheduling a Follow Up Interview

  1. In order to sign up for a follow up interview you will receive an email notification from Thalamus prompting you to schedule.

  2. Next you will log into Thalamus and navigate to the “Calendar” tab within your Thalamus account.

  3. There are two ways to locate the interview day on your calendar:

    1. View as “Pending” - To see the available interview dates will want to filter the view to show “Pending” on the upper right side of the menu bar above the calendar. This view will bring up only those calendar dates that you have not taken any action on, by either scheduling an interview or signing up for the waitlist if available.

    2. My Program Filter - Located on the left hand side of the menu bar, Select “Show/Hide All”, this is deselect all options if they are toggled on. Once the programs are deselected, toggle the specific program who invited you to interview. This action will allow you to view only their available dates on your calendar.

  4. When reviewing your calendar events, identify the event with the appropriate follow up interview type.

  5. Once you have decided on the interview date you want to sign up for, select it on the calendar.

  6. This will bring up a pop window that will allow you to sign up for the interview.

  7. Upon confirming the date and time, you will want to select the “Sign Up for Interview” button.

  8. Another pop up window will appear confirming this is the interview you are wanting to sign up for, click “Yes”, if not select “No” as this will return you to the calendar to make the correct selection.

  9. Once the interview has been confirmed it will now appear in your “Confirmed Interview” list.

Canceling a Follow Up Interview

  1. In the event that you need to cancel an interview you will want to click the interview date.

  2. This will bring up a pop window that will allow you to cancel the interview.

  3. Upon confirming that you have selected the correct date and time of the interview, select the “Cancel Interview” button.

  4. Another pop up window will appear asking you to confirm if this is the interview you are wanting to cancel, if it is select “Yes”, if not select “No” as this will return you to the calendar to make the correct selection.

  5. Once the interview cancellation has been confirmed it will return you back to the calendar screen and you will no longer see that interview date in your confirmed interview dates.

**Please note that if you are scheduled for multiple interview rounds and cancel for a previous round, you will not be cancelled for all rounds.
