Applicants have the option to complete program survey questions before interview scheduling or the survey may be postponed until after the interview has been scheduled. This guide will assist applicants in understanding the various survey types in Thalamus.

Anonymous vs Non-Anonymous Surveys
Programs have the option to make specific surveys Anonymous or Non Anonymous. This will be displayed in the applicant dashboard in the My Surveys section and within the survey window itself.
- Not Anonymous Surveys: Any surveys set to Not Anonymous, programs will be able to see which applicant submitted and view all corresponding answers.
- Anonymous Surveys: Programs will not be able to view any identifying fields (name, AAMC ID, email, etc) for who completed the survey. They will not be able to view any survey answers until a minimum of three surveys have been submitted.
Survey Types
Pre-Interview Survey
If a program has included a survey with the interview invitation. When viewing the calendar event from the "Calendar" page. The survey can be accessed from the "Survey Assigned" hyperlink. The survey can be completed or postponed. Please note: a pre-interview survey is NOT anonymous.
Post-Interview Survey
A program may choose to send applicants a new survey after the completion of their interview. These surveys can be accessed in the “My Surveys” section of your Thalamus dashboard.
NOTE: This survey type may be set as anonymous or not anonymous by the program. This status can be found under the title of the survey.
Post-Match Survey
A program may choose to send applicants a new survey after MATCH Day. Post-Match surveys can be sent to any applicant who interviewed with the program. These surveys can be accessed in the “My Surveys” section of your Thalamus dashboard.
NOTE: This survey type may be set as anonymous or not anonymous by the program. This status can be found under the title of the survey.
