Logging In, Logging Out & Changing your Program in Cerebellum

Access Cerebellum, switch between programs, and log out of your account.

1. Before you start

Cerebellum uses the same login information as your Thalamus and Cortex accounts. This means you do not need a separate username or password just for Cerebellum.

  • Before you can log in, your account must be created in Thalamus and Cerebellum access must be enabled by a Program Administrator.

  • Main program contacts may receive Cerebellum access during onboarding.

  • Additional accounts may be created by program administrators for the remainder of your faculty and staff. Visit our Managing Program User Accounts guide for more information.

  • If your program uses ERAS, users with an account in PDWS may automatically have an account created in Thalamus. ERAS programs can also log into Thalamus directly from PDWS.

  • If you are an Applicant, visit our Logging into your Thalamus Applicant Account guide.

2. Log in from the Cerebellum website

To log in directly to Cerebellum:

  1. Go to the Cerebellum login page.
  2. Enter the email address you use for your Thalamus or Cortex account.
  3. Enter your Thalamus or Cortex password.
  4. If you are connected to more than one program, a pop-up will appear.
  5. Select the program you want to view.

You may also be able to log in using your AAMC account by selecting Sign in with AAMC Account. This will take you to the OneAAMC login page. After you sign in, you will be redirected back to Cerebellum.

3. Log in from your Thalamus account

If you already have access to Cerebellum or Cortex, you can open those accounts directly from Thalamus.

  1. Log in to Thalamus.
  2. Select your user profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select the account you want to view.

This lets you move from Thalamus into Cerebellum without starting from a separate login page.

4. Change your program

If you are connected to more than one program, you can switch programs from your profile menu.

  1. Select your user profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. Review the programs listed in the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the program you want to view.

You can return to the profile menu at any time to switch to another program.

5. Log out of Cerebellum

Cerebellum will automatically log you out after 2 hours of inactivity.

To log out manually:

  1. Select your user profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Logout.

Tip: If you are using a shared or public computer, always log out manually when you are finished.
